Important Product Pricing Update – Effective May 9, 2025

Custom Assembly Packaging

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and customer service, Pipeline Packaging is providing an important update regarding changes to our product pricing. In April 2025, the U.S. government enacted new tariffs affecting a wide range of imported goods and raw materials used throughout the packaging supply chain. These changes and rising input costs domestically are driving price increases across multiple product categories.

Breakdown of 2025 Tariff Changes

Area Impacted2025 New Tariff RateDetails
China (except steel/aluminum)145%Includes a 20% IEEPA tariff and 125% reciprocal tariff; 25% baseline tariff in place since 2018
Steel / Aluminum25%Applies globally; stacks with IEEPA tariffs (e.g., China steel = 45%)
Canada and MexicoStill under negotiation; steel/aluminum tariffs do apply
Other Non-U.S. Countries10%10% baseline retaliatory tariff (excludes steel/aluminum)

These tariffs directly affect the cost of key materials such as steel, aluminum, and tinplate, all of which are critical to industrial packaging solutions. Additionally, many U.S.-based manufacturers have raised prices due to increased domestic costs, particularly for resin, domestic steel, and tinplate. As a result, some products not directly impacted by tariffs are also experiencing pricing changes.
